As far as I know this it only on the Mk7.5 in the video you can see a 2014 leon, so this is probably available on older models. and in the comments he said its only software and using the parking sensors so its not the rear traffic alert that uses the two radars on the rear bumper.

Pretty interesting feature.. does someone has already coded it? Coding in the video was done by Jesus Rojas. He has many interesting videos from his leon on YouTube so for whom is interested just check his videos on YouTube.

Don he got out of the car to show that no one is pressing the brake, the car is not even in reverse so it cannot be the self parking. its a cool feature, hope it can be done on a mk7

It looks like the Manoeuvre Braking feature available in model year 2017 VWs.
During low speed manoevres such as parking the car, the car brakes itself full on if the parking sensors detect very nearby static obstacles.
I think it's a cool feature that minimises your repair bill if you accidentally hit the accelerator pedal while gingerly releasing your brake while parking. There is always a chance that it may happen.

Wouldn’t be due to auto hold as he brakes and stops the car, auto hold would kicked in, he got out the car and let it reverse down the hill, auto hold would’ve still been on

just checked out this guys other youtube vids and he appears to be a retro fitter as he installed park assist on the same car.
His name is jesus Rojas and gets some of his stuff from the spanish leon site, he also said this was not a vagcom coding change so looks like a retrofit to me.

Looking at the hardware it is the same numbers as mine, so maybe just a software upgrade from a vw dealer (if they do upgrades) then enable that in the coding

Well it must be possible to do the upgrade/retrofit (and i guess depending on the age of your car different hardware) as this is on a 2014 Leon.
