Hi,
Why there is no missfire count in the live data? I bought OBD Eleven only to monitor missfiring and it turns out I can't. Another thing I cannot find is monitoring injectors. Will these two be included in future version of the software?

Hi,
Yes I know it should be there, but there is nothing about missfires in the Live data list.

Well I'm waiting for corresponding team at OBD eleven to check this. I was told if they find something they'll contact me. Meanwhile I did some research and figured that S4 B8 is using UDS protocol. What I found is that with UDS modules, to view data, perform Basic Settings or Adaptations, you have to pick from a list and cannot just manually insert channel number and view output. So for some reason there is no missfire checkbox in this list. Don't know if this is problem in OBDEleven software or it is something in the protocol so that if you want to check for missfires you'll have to go to a shop with another diagnostic tool and to pay more.... With VAGcom I am able to read missfires per cylinder. Yes I can read and clear faults caused by missfires with OBD 11 but that's it and it's just not enough. I'm little disappointed.

andryz from my information are you saying that if you use VAGcom or VCDS you can input the chanel number on this car with the UDS Module. Bit of background info on the UDS/Non UDS stuff from Ross Tech forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?1905-UDS-Vs-non-UDS. What the ISO 15765 (UDS) did instead was to put in an extra layer of translation that was needed to interpret fault codes, measuring data, etc. on my UDS module I do have from the drop down list misfire data so on certain cars it is available.

Hi,
Well at the workshop I'm taking my car they can lookup missfire count for each cilynder with VAGcom in real time. I'm not sure if they can manually enter channel , but the point is that the count can be monitored. In my list in OBD 11 I don't have anything about misssfires. And if it can be visible for some vehicles I don't see why it isn't for s4 b8?
