I just got the OBDEleven for my 2013 S5 Cabriolet. First I tried to activate the SDS (voice control) which is turned off on convertibles. OBDEleven says this function is "Not supported". Uh, what? This is the reason I bought the device. I have a convertible, I want to turn on the SDS, why is it not supported? I looked online, and there are ways to make it supported, but no one says how to get to these apps or whatever and make the changes. Do I need to buy the PRO and long code something, since 95% of the functions are locked out of the basic version. A user manual would be nice.

dred sorry can help on your car as i dont know it, with regards to user manual that would be very difficult to do as you would have to do one for every car and combination / location / manufacturer change. I have put up some information about the application obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/2095/new-obd11-pro-help its not comprehensive but its a start to General usage. However note this is for the Pro Version. With regards to not being supported are you sure you have all the required components to turn it on. |

It's a 2013 Audi S5 Cabriolet. A snazzy A5. And I found way down on the app list the "Engineering Menu 3G/3G+" which I'm hoping will open up the "hidden green screen" controls, that will allow me to turn on the voice control. And it's not that tough to make a decent menu of general directions, like the one I just said. Audi did virtually nothing to change their A4/A5/S4/S5 between 2013 ands 2017, and the MMI electronics are par for a 2007 American/Japanese car. If they put that little effort into their vehicle design, I'm sure other models aren't drastically different to operate.

As I say I dont know your car so cant help with the issue. We will have to agree to disagree on manuals but check out your MAC, Windows, Android manuals and you will see its the same I have listed some Audi Fan sites here obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/1623/links-odbeleven-resources that might be able to help you with coding. |

I have Audi A5 cabriolet 2012, I got my SDS & green screen also tilt on mirror when reversing working through Vag com.

I don't know if this problem is still current. But I'll answer that one time.
As far as I know, the A5 Cabrio with MMI-3G has a built-in microphone for SDS at the factory. But it only works if an MMI-3G is installed. However, it is deactivated at the factory. I activated my A5 Cabrio 2013 with the OBDeleven app (Pro version). So it works. The activation can also be done with the long coding. But I don't know if I can post the coding here.
after coding, the MMI-3G must be reset.
