vanvan551 : Hmm........I'm more than happy to be corrected - but doesn't the Dashboard module on an Audi A3 8Y/GY have SFD protection? If so, the older style 5 x digit security codes don't apply - access to these modules for coding purposes happens via the process for unlocking SFD. Don
PS: I assume that the bonnet was unlocked during the diagnostic session

Yes, the bonnet was unlock and there is no SFD protection in this module but if I try to modify I get error 22...

Really?
So, this is an Audi A3 series vehicle with a 8Y/GY chassis (meaning that the car is built with a MQB-evo platform) and the Dashboard module does NOT have SFD protection?
Do the following (please) - Ignition-ON, engine-OFF
- Fire-up OBD11 software and connect to dongle
- Navigate to the Control Units screen
- Scroll down and select Dashboard module
- On the Dashboard module screen, select Info (it's the first option)
- post-up a screenshot of the Info screen (I need to see the entry ODX name in the picture)
Also, what country is this?
Don

vanvan551 : OK - thanks for the screenshot. I believe that I owe you an apology!! Despite the fact that this car has a MQB-evo platform with a GY-AU38 (5WA) chassis and the Dashboard module is an 8Y-series unit, the vehicle appears NOT to have SFD protection! This is very unusual for Audi A3 8Y/GY models! However, because the the part/software version for the Dashboard module is 8Y0920790A and because the module has an ODX version (dataset)=002048 - my hunch is that this car was built in the early years of the introduction of SFD. VAG gradually commenced putting SFD protection into their modules in 2020. So my guess is that this car was built around that time - but the 8Y-series modules on the vehicle assemby-line must have preceded the newer protection protocols.
As for how to unlock the Dashboard module on this car - I'm not sure because of its odd build! As I said above, this car has a MQB-evo platform - so it's different to the predecessor Audi A3 8V model, which had a MQB platform.
My only suggestion is that you try the known 5 x digit security codes for MQB platform (i.e. other than 20103) - but I don't believe that this will be successful! I put a table on the Ross-Tech forum that shows the known security codes for MQB platform cars - see HERE. -but please note my caution in my introduction to the table about these modules locking-out if incorrect attempts are made.
I suggest that your start with security code 47115
If this car has the same facility as modules in MQB platform vehicles, you can check the ability of modules to accept a security code with OBD11 via my instructions below (go to the Dashboard module - not the central electric module as shown in the first screenshot):
The number of invalid keys should be less than 2 and ideally it should be 0

thank you for everything, but unfortunately even when trying different codes, still error 22...
it is certainly impossible to activate different views on this virtual cockpit... It's not a big deal, it was just for fun ! Thanks
