2017 US GTI S (halogen). I've got the Euro switch and want to just run fogs (in park position). I've tried to add the option in settings to no avail (pretty sure I was able to put it there when I got the car but it didn't shut them off and the option isn't there on settings now). I've got my 17 Alltrack set up for just fog w/ park but can't recall what I did to do it. What values do I change to do this?

I'm confused!! Maybe use more words in a new post explaining how the title "DRL permanently off" relates to what I understand from the body of your first post to be a fog-light problem.
Also, please answer these questions: - Which fog-lights - front, or rear?
- Did you retrofit new fog-lights, or was this car factory built with these fog-lights?
- Are the fog-lights in question LED, or incandescent?
- What (if any) coding changes were made?
Finally, please post-up a copy of pictures for Leuchte12NL LB45. To be clear, I need to see the values for ALL 19 x adaptation channels in your screenshots!

Hi Don, I know you'll have the answer for sure. So it's a 17 US GTI with factory lights. I'm looking to have front fogs (with park lights) but no DRLs. So basically DRL never on. I'll check those values when my wife gets home with the car.

These are front fog values correct? Which adaptation is DRL?

OK - I'm still unclear of the situation on this car, or your wants - so I'm guessing!! In respect of the fog-light matter - I can see from the values in your Leuchte-set that the answer to question 3 in my last post is LED. So, if you want the front-fogs to operate with the Parking Lights (PL) without manual switching via the Euro switch - then change the following: Leuchte12NL LB45 and Leuchte13NL RB5: - Lichtfunktion B > Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht)
For the DRLs - there are a few ways of achieving "DRLs never on" - but probably the best is to add a switch on the car's MENU that allows the driver to switch ON/OFF the DRL function whenever you want. This is done as follows:
I'm not sure which version central electrics module is installed on this car ("Yankee" model Golfs are different). If this car has the older version module, search for Daytime Running Lights - if this car has the newer version, search for Außenlicht_Front: - Tagfahrlicht Aktivierung durch BAP oder Bedienfolge moeglich > active
This tweak will add a new facility to the car's MENU - so after making the change above, complete the following in-car procedure: - Press the CAR button on the escutcheon plate around the MIB screen
- On the Vehicle status screen -select Setup (on the bottom RHS of the screen)
- Select Light option
- note the "tick" status for Daytime Running Light (tick-on =DRLs on, tick-off =DRLs off)

Yes, the front fogs are led. Those are fine as is. I installed the Euro light switch so I can turn them on with the park lights. My objective is to deactivate the DRLs permanently. My Yankee model GTI has the Daytime Running Lights listed in adaptations. I had the value you spoke of as active but it doesn't show up on the MIB. Oddly it shows on my MIB in my 17 Alltrack but never worked. There was a work around that was successful in disabling the DRLs but I can recall the values. The Alltrack has the newer that you spoke of while the GTI has the older so I wasn't able to cross reference and figure it out.

[ Figured it out. Found the guidance you gave when I was trying to do the same thing with my Golf estate a few years ago. It's the multifunction lights as you pointed out then. Found the channels, changed the value to 0 and now the MF/DRLs are off. Mission accomplished. Thank you again sir. url=https://ibb.co/qY6Kf7L] [/url]
