Hello everyone,
I own a 2015 Audi A3 2.0T quattro Premium Plus. The car was imported to the EU and its taillights were “converted” to match the European ones. By "converted" I mean the part code stayed the same (8V5945096C, 8V5945095C, 8W5945093J, 8V5945094J) while the red turn signal LEDs were re-soldered to some yellow ones. Useless to say the work wasn’t done properly and water was coming in, together with some LEDs being burned out.
I so decided to buy some OEM US-spec Audi taillights to replace those Frankenstein-like taillights to my car.
I then found out about an Obd11 one-click-app named “NAR to EU taillights” under the retrofit tab but they still aren’t working the way they should.
After paying 100 credits by selecting the “NAR” option this is what I’m currently dealing with:
Braking only:
- L: EU brake light lights up (US brake light should light up, corresponding to the EU brake light + EU inner and outer turn signal)
- R: EU brake light lights up together with the outer EU turn signal (US brake light should light up, corresponding to the EU brake light + EU inner and outer turn signal)
Turn signal only (working correctly):
- L: US turn signal blinks (EU brake light + EU turn signal)
- R: US turn signal blinks (EU brake light + EU turn signal)
Braking + Right turn signal:
- EU brake light blinks (correct) + EU inner turn signl blinks (correct) + EU outer turn signal stays lit (doesn’t blink, incorrect)
Braking + Left turn signal:
- EU brake light blinks (correct) + EU inner turn signl blinks (correct) + EU outer turn signal blinks (correct)
I would need the original US-spec coding to make my taillights work properly.
Thank you very much,
