It is painful when you are on a straight road and the travel assist starts chiming because you are not inputting steering movements. Is there a way to disable this? Mk8 R MT

Already discussed on multiple occassions. For stock TA car: No, you need to keep the hands on the steering wheel. Sterring wheel sensitivity (force needed) can be adjusted. For retrofits: If you coded TA without retrofitting the capacitive steering wheel, then there is nothing you can do, except to jank the steering wheel a bit for the car to recognize you are driving.
If you want to permanently disable the warnning, you can buy a small module that continuously sends the signal to the car. Result is that you will never get the message again, but you render Emergency assist useless.
