Hello all, I've recently fitted a highline camera to my GTD and it all appears to be working. The camera had the adaptations coded from the seller before purchase. The problem I have, is when I scan the car, it comes up with an error. B201000 no basic setting. Does anyone have any ideas ?
Many thanks. Steve (uk)

Steve: Hi. I'm not sure where you purchased your new High-line camera - but there are 2 x important aspects of the camera that ensures compatibility with this car: First: it's important that the camera has to correct dataset for this car. If you are not aware of the term "Dataset" - the camera with the same part number will fit many different VAG model cars (i.e. VW, Audi, SEAT etc). The dataset is a piece of software in the camera that tailors the module to a particular car. So, if the camera was purchased brand-new (i.e. not a second hand module from a donor car which was exactly the same as this car), then it probably needs the correct dataset for this car. Changing/adding module dataset is not possible with OBD11
Second: once the 6C module has been installed and coded, the camera needs to be calibrated to ensure that its distance measurements are correct. This process entails the use of a target "domino-board" and the completion of a special procedure. Likely the Basic error message that you cite is caused by the missing camera calibration.
AFAIK, no-one has been able to use OBD11 to successfully complete a camera calibration on a MQB platform car with OBD11 (you need to use the dealer tool ODIS) - I'm more than happy to be corrected if anyone can advise otherwise.

Hello Don, thanks very much for the reply. It was purchased brand new and is specifically for the golf hatchback. I've followed everything by the book, so it appears that you are correct and I need odis to fully calibrate the camera. Many thanks again Don.
