Hi, what i have to do if i want to change the electric rear parking brake? The electric parking brake is seatet. I cant get extend the electric servo motor. At the Internet (link) i saw i have to deactivate the electric parking brake and open it - HOW? What is the right way to open the parkig brake with OBDeleven? |

Go to 53 Parking brake control unit > Basic settings > Channel 7 to open and after you change brake pads Channel 6 to close.

I tried it but it did not work out - because the Motor is broken. Now i have a new Motor, and your way is right. Now all is OK. Thanks Attachments:

Hi I have an Audi q5 2014, TDI and when I go to above path: ( 53 Parking brake control unit > Basic settings) there are diff listings other than Channel to select. I want to change rear brake pads. Please advice

Sorry for jumping in I tried the above and got the error Marginal conditions have not been met....please help have tried and need this to work so that I can replace my rear brakes |

Just to add here for everyone. From this youtube video:
1. Open brake calipers for brake pads change by entering Basic settings - Channel 7
2. Change brake pads.
3. Close brake calipers by entering Basic settings - channel 6
4. Perform calipers calibration by entering Basic settings - channel 10

Hi all.
OK, so I open the rear brake calipers and disconnect the power cable to caliper's electric motor (I am removing the caliper and replace with a new one).
After the caliper is disconnected - do I need to keep the OBD11 unit connected to the car? Or I switch it off and connect again when new brake caliper is installed?
