Hello everyone,
I own a Golf mk7.5 from 2018, 1.5 tsi BLUEMOTION.
As stated in the title, I am having a hard time trying to code the annoying Coasting "feature" of the car.
I have seen multiple threads but I just wanted to give it another try, maybe someone has found something.
When I release my foot of the throttle pedal the car goes into "Coasting" mode. Which means the gear shifts automatically in Neutral.
A behavior of the car that I totally disagree with and I really want to turn it off. I went to Volkswagen in my country ( Denmark ) and they've said that they can't cut off that feature because it would be against they're emission regulations.
Before, the car used to also stop the engine completely, I managed to change that from the Start-Stop system. I just swapped the value off start stop from 7v to 12v and now it doesn't coast with the engine off. But it is still coasting.
What I tried :
1
Gateway module 19 - Long coding - FPA function freilauf defaultON change value to "not active"
2 => Made no difference
Adaptive Cruise Control module 13 - Long coding - Sailing_function change value to "no_predictive_sailing"
3
Car driving modes - Individual - ACC in sport, anything else in Normal.
I've heard from many people that they do have the option in their FIS. I have also checked, mine doesn't.
Will it be possible to get an updated software of my FIS / Multimedia system that would show that option to just turn it off ? - If so, please live a link towards the last update if you have it.
The only way my car would drive without coasting would be in Sport mode, I ended up by starting my car in Normal Mode and after the engine is warmed up to switch it in Sport and leave it like that.
Many thanks for reading everything and please HELP! I am extremely annoyed by the feature.
All the best to everyone here,
I really hope we can find a solution
My best regards,
Mihail
