Just activated the Auto lock function using the APP on the obdeleven device. It gave me a successful message at the end
But nothing happens when I close the door with the keys in my pocket. The car has all the imaginable options , ACC, keyless , active display. Etc
Any idea what am I missing here ?
Thanks

as the APP from obd11 didn't work, I went on the www.stemei.de site and executed the steps below for the Auto Loch feature at: www.stemei.de/pages/coding/vw-passat-b8/kessy-automatisches-zusperren-verriegeln.phpIt worked! STG 05 (entry / start authorization) STG access authorization LoginCode 20103 long coding Bye 2 enable Bit 4 STG adjustment -> function 10 Select passive_exit_door_slam_lock - channel byte1 put emphasis on active BUT TODAY, when I exited my car with the keys in my pocket WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING and closed the door, IT LOCKED the CAR and I could not unlock it with the remote key!! it simply ignored any button on the remote.. I was about to give up, calling a local mechanic to try anything when I remembered to use that physical key inside the remote key and removed the plastic on the door handle to physically unlock the door... Has anyone tried this scenario ? It is very odd that this would happen. Either the coding is wrong or it should never be used nor posted to anyone!!

I can offer you the logging of my (german) odbeleven.
Steuergerät: B7 Interface für Zugang- und Startsystem
Name: internal_passive_entry_exit_byte1
Werte:
passive_exit_door_slam_lock:
Alter Wert: nicht aktiviert
Neuer Wert: aktiviert

I just had the same problem with my auto lock coding. Have anyone found a solution? Ditto fschaeffer and obdfan--this just happened to me.
Turned on the autolock feature thru OBD11 yesterday, worked fine getting in and out of the car with the engine off. Started my car to warm it up this morning, took the keys with me, autolock kicked in right when i closed the door. Came back about 5 mins later and tried grabbing the handle method, wouldn't unlock. Tried unlocking with my fob--didn't even acknowledge. Tried my backup fob, nothing. Had to use the hidden physical key to get in. I'm curious if it didn't go into some sort of security lock down/out? Anyways, critical bug--disabling feature unless fixed.
