I’m hoping to find someone else who has had this same issue. I follow every step perfectly in order to code the exhaust valves open permanently but when I get to the page under Engine01 to change Byte9/Hex4, I click on Byte/9 but my Hex says 0C instead of 4. Also bit 2 and bit 3 are ticked, instead of only bit 2 and when I try to untick either of them and save, i get a error code saying Function is not available. I am UK based and have tried on both android and ios devices. Has anyone else had this same issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which model is your MK8? Only R has 2 exhaust flaps on the rear silencer, other models do not have exhaust valves. Standard variants have only one butterfly valve after the cat to regulate exhaust backpressure and has barely something to do with sound.

I guess the issue is the model year. 2024 cars have new safety mechanisms which prevent tempering. The procedure you followed is fine btw, should work on earlier models.
