I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I do not see any check box to activate the rain sensing wipers anywhere in obdeleven.
Is there a way to make obdeleven show all the options like vcds? If it could it would make it a lot easier to follow directions from vcds
Thanks

Yes. I have seem that. But it would be nice if you can actually show check boxes with descriptions like vcds
Thanks

We still working on that. Is there a time frame when we will have descriptions of the bits that we want to modify? I'd like to do long coding but I can't go in blind.

Is there still no way to do this? ive seen the check box for "light/rain sensing" but turning that on does not fully activate it. Looking at the vcds forum it looks like there are 2 areas to configure it, but i cant translate that to the obdeleven program.

djbrown88 don't have your car but based on the VCDS Screens i would try the following Select Control Unit 09: Central Electrics Select Subsystems RLS (That bit is a guess on my part as mine is called RLFS) Select Long Coding Select Byte 00 (which is where by default it starts) Tick bit 2 (turn on rain closing active) Select Bit 3-4 (as i say don't have your car but it looks like these are grouped and then you should have a drop down list to choose what you want. Save changes by using the Green Tick You should be done.

I don't have exactly those options. See my screenshot for what I have on byte 00 and the only place I see anything related to the rain sensing wipers

Under subsystems I have. RLS 070212 05 for example and there are only two options: info and long coding there are 3 otpions and on the picture you can see hope you can see in the pictures what is ticked. But for me the front windshield wiping sensor does nothing. and I get no errors.

i will stress this is not my car but according to the VCDS coding
Select Control Unit 09: Central Electrics
Select Subsystems RLS (That bit is a guess on my part as mine is called RLFS) - you appear to have this as yours is RLS 070212 05 but the coding on the VCDS Screen shows RLS 240711 05 no idea if the later RLS units dont support this function or not you will have to search the web i am afraid.
Select Long Coding
Select Byte 00 (which is where by default it starts)
Tick bit 2 (turn on rain closing active) - This you have done.
Select Bit 3-4 (as i say don't have your car but it looks like these are grouped and then you should have a drop down list to choose what you want.
you have tick box 4 ticked have you ticked 3 and or 4 to see if there is any narrative to confirm with it means, logically the only other options you have are tick box 3 only and then tick box 3 and 4.
Save changes by using the Green Tick
All I can say is I know that this is one of those features that causes lots of issues and it seems to come down to the hardware verison you have.

I have it even more weird. I had it checked with VCDS coding aswell and all things are checked. Sensor is working and even when car was stationary and spraying or pouring water on the sensor it works flawlessly but the funny thing is when I am driving and it is raining it DOES NOT WORK...go figure

I successfully switched my 14 A4 Quattro to intermittent wipers. I generally used the above procedures, but checked bit 6 in byte 00.
