Hello, Just received my OBD11 today to check codes I received after an engine replacement. Car runs and drives perfect as it should except for all these codes now. All connections and everything were checked multiple times and everything it plugged in correctly and no pinched wires. I have attached my log for all of the fault codes. Going to check the ABS sensors tomorrow, but there seems to be more going on here. Not sure if the car had OBD11 coding from previous owner and I read somewhere that after the battery was pulled and ECU unplugged it could cause issues. As I stated I am new to this, so I didn't want to jump into the app and just start messing with things and make things worse. Thank you! OBDeleven_Log.txt (9.86 KB)

cbingg :Hi. More information needed (please be precise in your reply): - What country is this (it matters)?
- What model golf and build year is this car (SCAN says MY19 build of some sort)?
- Exactly what equipment was replaced in this car ? Were any modules replaced?
- What coding changes were made to the car after the retrofit?
- The SCAN says that the current engine type is 2.0l R4 TFSI. Is this factually correct?
- What was the original engine in this car?
- Did you take a SCAN from this car BEFORE the engine was replaced (to identify which error codes were present)? If so, please post=up a copy

Hey Don, Sorry for the late reply... Been a busy week. 1. USA 2. 2019 MK7.5 GTI SE 3. The whole engine block, bottom and top. Everything else was swapped over since the car is on a vortex with a MPI setup running e85. Used the same engine harness and wiring for everything. Pulled old motor swapped over everything and dropped it back in. Didn't remove front bumper or anything. 4. I have not done any coding I literally just got OBD11 after I got my car running to diagnose these issues. 5. The car has a DFKA engine out of a 2021 GTI that was wrecked. Engine was still running when purchased as a replacement. 6. DFKA EA888 7. Engine split the block in half. Running over 500whp for 40k miles, the engine was tired haha. 0 codes preset prior. Thank you! I'll check this more often now that I missed this reply a week ago. cbingg :Hi. More information needed (please be precise in your reply): - What country is this (it matters)?

OK - sounds like an interesting set of circumstances. I don't get to see many (any) North America Region (NAR) model cars down here in the very deep south - they are different from rest-of-world model Golfs
The date/time stamp for lots of errors in your SCAN is 2024-08-17 at about 12:27 hrs. What happened to the car at this time (was this when you re-connected the battery)?
Anyhow, I suspect that the first task from a diagnostic error perspective is to make sure that you are working with a current set of diagnostic data which does not include historic errors.
If the car can be driven, then I suggest a short drive to reset the engine readiness codes. After the drive and even if the car cannot be driven, clear ALL error codes with OBD11 and make and post-up a fresh SCAN.

Hey Don,
Yes, this was after the car got the spare engine installed and battery put back in. Car drives perfect and even better than it did before. This is other than the lights on the dash of course! I drove the car home from the shop 2.5 hours, and it drives straight no issues no vibrations nothing, just can't use cruise control and the blind spot monitors don't work. TMPS system does not work and cannot be reset from the infotainment system. I put air in the tires (they were a little low) drove the car around town and came back home last night. Still same lights pop up and yell at me every time I get in the car.
Took the car to work and back today. Reset the codes and they immediately come right back on without any delay. I'll get a scan though and reply with it tomorrow but seems to be all the same codes as it has had since the engine swap.
