Hello, Due to an update (from v. 388 to v. 407), the system does not output any sound. Has anyone solved it? valentes: It really depends on what the fault code is in your car for the module @ address hex5F, but my guess is that you might be wise to read the thread HEREDon

I read the link you posted ... I had also found such a mistake (6efd). Solving with link:https://xor.pw/?. But despite your tips, I still have no audio.

I read the link you sent ... I also found an error (6e4d). Resolve with the link: https: //xor.pw/? (key: a79f). But despite your suggestions, I still have no audio.
Also, after scanning with obdeleven no error is reported.
The only way to resolve this issue momentarily until you restart the system is:
Press + Hold like you do to update the firmware Select update in the top right corner Select any source for the update (does not matter if there is a device with an update) let it search for around 4 seconds press media/radio and audio works

valentes: have you tried resetting the MIB unit? With the unit switched-on, hold down the Power knob until the MIB switches-off and keep pressing the ON/OFF knob until it switches on again. Don PS: I assume that your MIB unit is not new and that there are no component protection trouble codes on the Gateway module @ address hex19.

Hi Don, With mib you refer to the discover pro? However with the discover pro i did the soft reset and hard reset via also obdeleven.

valentes: yes MIB=Discover media/pro. The soft/hard reset feature in OBD11 replicates ignition switch-on and battery - it does not initiate a complete software reset in the module firmware.
So what is the history of your MIB unit?

Hi, if you don't change any coding of "sound system", so it's look like "Sound Bug" problem was activated on your unit. This problem exist on 388 and 407 version and can exist on MIB1 units: 5G0 035 020 A,B,C,D 5G0 035 021 A,B 5G0 035 043 A,B,C,D 5G0 035 044 A,B 5G0 035 045 A,B,C 1 |
Overview:More info: (GER) www.motor-talk.de/forum/discover-pro-5g0035021b-kein-ton-t6030243.htmlSolution: No solution yet known by VW. Ask your VW workshop for solution of TPI 2039774. The first solution was upgrade to 0407, but does not resolve the "Sound Bug" problem. Workaround: Yes, the sound will back for a piece of time. 1. Go to "Service Menu" (keep MENU button till Service Menu appers) 2. Choose "Upgrade" -> SD card 3. Choose "Back Arrow" and press "Radio" button

After update from 0388 to 0407 I have no sound too. The only help is the fix above but it works just for few minutes...
My first MIB1 unit started play buzzy sound and later the right speaker did not operate. My dealer have changed the unit.
Later in some cases the unit was not playing any sound. So I upgraded from 0192 to 0200 (it did not work) and then to 0388. It was fine.
But the navi announces did not mute the infotainment so I went to 0407. I am so dumb...

Update. Did not try the previous solution, because I am waiting for information about who could be competent for this. But maybe this will be the right solution www.golf7gti.com/topic.php?p=206130#real206130. Could you please somebody tell me how can I access it via obdeleven? Thanks

At the end the company APG from Poland fixed the issue for me.

I also had sound issue after update my MIB1 HIGH unit (Control Module Part Number: 8V0 035 043).
Solution posted by jacko with Service Menu also works in my unit, but my problem was connected with hardware.
I temporarily bypassed the problem by disabling speaker check in 5F - Adaptations and the sound came back. Chanel: old value: new value: VCDS: Electrical test of loudspeakers-Mode automatic manual ODIS: Set_Loudspeaker_Test_Mode: automatic manual

Hi Wolny. My issue is back after a dealer workshop tried to apply the recall 91U9 Kr 07. But it was not successful and now the unit is in the previous state (so the sound could be activated via the update). But maybe the only difference is when I run the diagnostics for the 5F unit it does not make a cracking sound from side to side. It maybe somehow connected with the information provided by you so I will try to check the bypass. And I also have a information from local technician that it could be a hardware issue which I was doubtful about for the firs time
