Hi all, I'm having issues with my 2016 GTI. My coding went out when I had to buy a new headlight as my old one got very fogged up. Now, I've installed a new one. However the issue is that I had to buy one with different modules and different brands. One for instance I think is Valeo, the other I believe is Hella. I'm not sure if the coding is different between the two, however I have never been able to get the headlights to function properly since I've installed the new ones. Is there different coding from the left to right to make it work? Here is the trouble code as well. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Just do the basic settings with "Grundeinstellungen"
Go Module 55>Grundeinstellungen>Grundeinstellung Scheinwerfer
Your headlights will move into service position. Then go 1 Step back and to Grundeinstellungen quittieren. Give that a go. Then delete the error.

Hello, When I do that, it just says "(22) Function cancelled., Marginal conditions have not been met". And I cannot set it or do anything. Is there something more within the headlight regulation that I need to change? It's an odd error. Therefore, it won't even do the basic coding for the headlights. Any additional help would be nice, thank you. Also, is there a possibility that my byte coding is incorrect within the headlight regulation section? I tried to mess with it a bit, but I was unable to alter anything as I'm still met with the same error! I made sure headlight are off, engine is off, but ignition is on...

Update, I've figured part of it out. Mine was due to the long coding itself by following this thread: forum.obdeleven.com/thread/12392/error-headlamp-trouble-c1081f0-c108131My original coding can be found in this text file: history.txt (41.31 KB)
I swapped my long coding values to match previous values in the past. Then I did the basic coding and accepted the values. This has fixed the AFS error, but now I get error from OBD11 headlight stating: Left Stationary AFS - Open Circuit. From what I've read from those forums, I may have to check the H7 bulb, check the socket itself and continuity between the headlight socket and module, or check for corrosion within the connector. (The last one I doubt because I just got a new one.) My headlights also still don't have the cornering light function for the right side. (Same with left, but I'm not getting an error with the right side for open circuit error.) And my cornering light is not moving left to right when I turn my steering wheel. Any further guidance would be helpful. For now though, I've completely disabled the last bits of long coding to 000. Hopefully, I can get further help.

Sadly, nothing yet. I'm still trying to figure out why the corning lights don't activate between turns. I'm not too sure of the coding value for that. But I haven't received an error since...
