Hey everyone - new user here. 2016 VW Jetta SE (push to start with tech package) Unique situation for myself. The wipers stopped working in the middle of a rain storm. They went into the park position after working fine with the wipers on and just stopped working in the park position. My buddy and I have put the effort in with no success. It has power at the connector and tested the switch and can see when they are turned on or off from the switch. Even bought a new switch and plugged it in at the column just to test before trying to tackle the clock spring but it had no success of it engaging the wipers. The pump for washer fluid works fine as does all the other functions. Tested all fuses and unfortunately I think the relay is on the BCM board if there even is one, but we checked all relays anyways as some are multi purpose and finding a wire diagram (from VW) basically doesn’t exist. We have found some online and the ones we did reference were rather pretty simple and str8 forward. The wiper motor and linkage has been replaced with genuine VW parts even though the old motor was getting power at the connector. Also, if putting power directly to the motor with a power prob the wipers will work at the motor location. So it seems like the issue is the signal from the BCM to the motor. I’m thinking the only thing left is the BCM and wondering how hard it is to flash my old BCM onto a new BCM using OBDeleven and also is it any different for a car that has push to start? Also for what it’s worth the 2 error codes 03583 and 00077 that it throws is windshield wiper motor activation (speed 1/2) - short circuit to ground as well as windshield wiper stop switch - no signal / communication. If anyone has someone input or help it would be greatly appreciated but I’m thinking the issue is the BCM even though all other electrical seems to be working fine and I know when the BCM is on its way out it usually get pretty crazy with all the electrical and not just one component.
