I did something stupid when I first got my obd11 and messed with settings without backing them up. Now I have a "dead" (no communication) steering angle sensor (which shows twice on the list) and other flaky functionality. Any way to reconstruct the long code for the gateway if the original equipment list is available?

section31hq, If you go to your history option it will list all the changes you have made and it shows the before and after so you can change it back to how it started check out the history thread obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/97/history which may help you if you have not used it before and the long Coding thread obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/102/long-codingOr do you just want the list of modules in the gateway to be as it was on day one.

Thanks for the links. I will look for the history and see if I can figure out what I messed up. It has an error that can not be cleared by obd11 (bad gateway coding) so I guess the list needs to be what it was originally. That will teach me to read the manual first. I've managed to make some mods to the lights and I'm happy with that, but I've noticed there is no communication with steering angle/assist and the AWD doesn't seem to be working like it used to (if at all) so I'm worried.

Thanks for the help! I found the original foulup and corrected it. Nice that OBD11 can copy the original long code in history and paste it on the messed up gateway. The error is gone! I'll see how the car behaves going to work tomorrow. Unfortunately the steering angle sensor seems to be dead (no communication). I'll troubleshoot that over the weekend.
Thank you again!
