I recently bought VLand Aftermarket taillights, I followed a guide for mk7.5 install, based on this: www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?threads/vland-mk7-5-euro-tails-install-on-na-2019-golf-r-help-suggestions-solved.411013/I got it all working except for some reason the inner taillight is blinking with it. For reference, I’m in a 2019 Golf R and I repinned the connection as advised via the post. Matched my code the to example exactly. Is this perhaps because my car was programmed to alternate the blinkers originally, by the previous owner. I forget what it’s called, but it did the “back and forth” blinker (I think it’s referenced as Joker lights) Any help is appreciated.

mk7eleven : Hi. hmm........ alas -not enough detail in your post to understand what's happened to this car. I've absolutely NO doubt that you are 101% informed about every aspect of this retrofit project - but you need to put yourself in the position of those reading your post.
What country is this - yes, it makes a difference? Which "inner taillight is blinking" - there are multiple lamps on the inner fittings on both the right-side and the left-side? Which version coding change from @zer815 did you make from the link in your post? And why? Post-up screenshots of the Leuchte-sets for the problematic blinking tail-light lamps so we can see how they are programmed

Don Hey don, appreciate the help. I am from Canada! I definitely did my fair share of preventative research, and I think I’m very close to intended. As mentioned I think the previous owner did some customizing via OBD11 so there’s so reminiscent changes around the car. I made the coding advised in part two, if you reference the comments below I followed what the person below his post said. Repin, as instructed and then follow the coding on the second PDF. I made sure all lines were matching, not just the green highlighted ones. Here is a video of my tails right now. www.reddit.com/r/vwgolf/s/doUg50vGKfYou can see the inner lights flashing, I wouldn’t know what to reference those bulbs as, perhaps just “brake light” but I’m really not too knowledgeable about this, despite preparing myself best I could. Double checked my pins, it’s matched up to the photos. Can you perhaps help me with what leuchte-sets I would need to provide? Cheers and thank you very much, genuinely appreciate your effort!

mk7eleven : Thanks for the additional information! That's much better - at least I now have a reasonable understanding of stuff!! So, this is a "Yankee" car - not quite because it's from Canada? Nevertheless, this car is officially known as a "North America Region" (NAR) model mk7.5. OK -given that I live in a part of this lonely blue planet that I suspect Americans call "the very deep South" , I probably have a very different name for the "inner lights" in your video. I would call these lamps "Parking-Lights", or maybe "Position Lights", or "Side Lights" - but that's because anywhere other than where NAR model Golfs are sold, these "inner lights" are programmed to illuminate when the low-beam lights switch-ON. However, on NAR model Golfs and based on my understanding of these very unusual (to me) cars, these "inner lights" appear to be factory coded as Brake and turn-signal lamps. I believe that this happens because of America's Dept-of-Transport road rules (which I have never been able to understand). It's not shown in your video, but I expect that these lamps also illuminate at full brilliance when the brake pedal is pressed (as well as operating as turn-signal lamps). You have confirmed "I made the coding advised in part two" - so, the Leuchte-set for the "inner lights" would NOT have been altered from it's factory values. Yes, if my understanding of these strange model Golfs is correct - there is only ONE Leuchte-set for both left-side & right-side "inner-lights" on NAR model Golfs (they are wired in parallel according to my information). So, maybe try this: - On the coding instructions for 20220503_C_75NL75RL-1.pdf in your golfmk7.com link ("part one" using your words} - make zero815 's suggested coding changes for Leuchte27NSL RC6.
Hopefully, my suggestion above will fix the problem with the "inner lights" - but I have a further question: Do any of the lamps on these new tail-light fittings illuminate as Parking-Lights/Position-Lights/Side-Lights and if so, can drivers at the rear of this car discern a difference between a brake pedal press and the Parking-Light function?

Hey Don, I have already made every change on the PDF as mentioned. I see nothing different between mine and his code. I’m not sure what’s going on. here’s a video of how they function, as is: Thanks in advance, appreciate your time and effort.

Interestingly enough, my third brake light turns on with my blinker too.

this is how I repinned: Modify the AE harness on both outer tails. In your pic3922, remove the green wire that sits between black and red. Push it into the open cavity next to the other green wire. Now remove the yellow wire and push it into the now open cavity between red and black. Use my coding.

when I turn leuchte23SL HLC10 - Lichtfunktion A to “NOT ACTIVE” the dynamic blinker stops functioning at all, but the inner brake light is still flashing as if it’s behaving as a Turn Signal.

OK - stuff is getting real strange!! Instead of continuing this dialogue by looking at more individual Leuchte-sets, I suspect that it's time for you to post-up a Backup of the central electrics module on this car. Read HERE to understand the process to create the Backup file - which will be stored against your OBD11 account. After the file is created, use the process below to create a copy of the file so that it can be inserted into a forum post (as an attachment-please)
- Fire-up OBD11 software - no need to connect to the dongle
- Select Garage tab in the Home screen (lower left-side)
- If you have registered multiple cars on you account - select the the correct vehicle
- Select Control Units
- On the Control Unit screen - select the central electrics module
- Scroll-down and select History
- Follow the screen instructions below:
- On the 2nd screen above - deselect ALL entries except Backup
- After you receive the Email that you sent to yourself (last screenshot) - add the Backup file as an Attachment to a new post

Hey I finally got this done for you. Thank you kindly for the help. drive.google.com/file/d/1F6cux7VJ2zoo9vqv-bR5__7JwSXT6u0I/view?usp=drivesdkI got the third brake light to stop functioning when the blinkers are on, but I cannot for the light of me get the original problem solved.

You posted-up the History logs for the SCANs that were created for this car. This ain't what I requested - what I need is a copy of the Backup file for the central electrics module.
Read the instructions in my previous reply once more and try again!
