With OEM HU RNS 315 the audio works fine. After installing 2 different aftermarket Android HU's the audio Mutes out at random & comes back after 2 seconds like the AMP can't handle the load. I remove my battery for 15 minutes before installing the aftermarket HU. Is there something in Module-47 Sound System I can code to mitigate this issue? thanks in advance.

I'm not sure which "Don" you are referring to - there are a few of us here. I suspect it wasn't me because I don't normally venture a response on PQ35 platform cars.

But nevertheless, my observation about your SCAN report is that it's missing the hex56 - Radio module and the Gateway module is perfectly happy with the omission because there are no resulting error messages about the missing hex56 module.

The inability of a module to respond when polled whenever the Gateway module acts as the master diagnostic module is not unusual for non-OEM modules. So, I suspect that your SCAN was made with one of the "aftermarket Android HU's" installed. My hunch is that the hex56 module will reappear in the SCAN report if you put-back the OEM RNS 315

So, from a diagnostic perspective there ain't much useful information in your SCAN - clearly the "Dynaudio" module is fault-free and i assume that when the sound spits-the-dummy, NO error messages are reported.

This kind-of suggests (to me at least) that the problem here might not be in the amplifier (no offense intended). It doesn't make sense that the amplifier "can't handle the load" because the hex47 module is electrically down-stream of the "new Android HU". So there is no new load on the amplifier - what am I missing?

And as for your question - " Is there something in Module-47 Sound System I can code to mitigate this issue" - my quick look at other SCANs for KonzernAmp 8K units suggests that these modules do NOT have a long-code string!

You don't include details of the "new Android HU" in your post, but as you will know - software switches on the long-code string for the OEM RNS 315 tells the module whether the car has Dynaudio, or not. I understand that these software switches are on Byte 01 and for Dynaudio, the correct value is hex05. Maybe confirm my understanding by checking the value of Byte 01 on your factory RNS 315 module.

So, my question is - how is the "new Android HU" told that the car has dynaudio? Does the Android unit have a long-code string like the OEM module and if so, is it set for an external amp?

And I guess more generally, how are ALL the other software switches on the OEM module replicated on the Android unit (because aligning coding values is normally an essential component of changing the modules in a car)?
