Hi and thank you for the help
I have a golf style 2020 and I have lane assist where the car can drive itself. But is there a way that I can code for it to change lane once I signal? Not sure if I need extra sensors or stuff but I presume I have them already as the car can drive itself and keep it in its lane.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It might be possible, but there are a lot of questions that need to be answered first. FYI, I have a 2024 high-spec GTI that was built for the North American market. It also came with the lane assist feature, but in the North American market, VW does not enable auto lane change. I had that feature enabled by Anthony at acmtechnik.com/ , but I do not know if he does work on non-North American cars such as yours. Other questions that need to be answered include whether the hardware (controllers, external vehicle sensors) and software in various controllers of your car is capable of supporting the auto lane change feature. Best suggestion I can offer is that you speak with a VW dealer in your country, and ask them to inquire with their importer (national distributor of VW products for your country). Hopefully that will get you an answer. For what it's worth, after I had the auto lane change feature enabled, I used it a couple of times and then turned it off and have not used it again since then. I found that it did a good job of initiating the lane change, but a poor job of straightening the car out in the new lane once it had finished the maneuver. In other words, it's a "feature", but it's not really a benefit. Michael

Thank you so much for your reply. Yeah I’m not too fussed about having it I just thought since I got the auto drive and everything maybe there was something in obd that I can turn on It might be possible, but there are a lot of questions that need to be answered first. 12 channel PLA is Park steer assist (assisted parking) with 12 park sensors (4 front, 4 back and 2 on each side). Respective control unit must be at least 5WA919298.
To load the new firmware to the camera, you need a camera with newer hardware. It must be at least 5WA980653D. Firmware is accessible through VCTools, but you must have atleast the Pro supscription to be able to flash the module.
