Hi everyone, I’m new here so I apologize if this question has been already asked/answered. I did try and use the search function bar but the results didn’t answer my question. Here’s my question: Is there a certain procedure to get the Sunroof to open fully and not just tilt on a 2023 Golf R 20 AE? I used my OBDeleven module to open the app and change the setting from “Tilting” to “Open” but all that’s accomplished is getting the sunroof to tilt but not open fully using the remote by long pressing the unlock button. I noticed one of the requirements is “Comfort operation for sunroof must be enabled” Is this a setting a Canadian 2023 20 AE Golf R has? Is it a setting in the infotainment system or in a submenu of the infotainment system and if so, where do I find it and how do I enable it? Thanks for any help you may provide.

Hey, I also have a Canadian R and there was an additional setting I needed to change. I cannot remember what it was off the top of my head, but following all the guides I found online only allowed the roof to tilt, exactly as you say. I think you need to go to the actual ROOF sub-system and change it there. Could you try that? If that doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll grab my OBDeleven tomorrow evening and we can check the adaptation values.

Here is the entire post: ^^^I thought that there was a software switch in the MENU to stop the sunroof from opening/closing? Anyhow - if not, try this: Select Central Electrics module @ address hex09 Select Adaptations Enter "Schiebedach" (German for Sunroof) into the search box Select SAD Komfort schliessen (Comfort close sunroof) change value to not active Repeat for SAD Komfort oeffnen (Comfort open sunroof) If you are asked for a security code - enter the magic number 31347 I followed these instructions to a T but instead of changing value to (not active) I chose (active) for both settings but still can only get my sunroof to tilt, not fully open. I mean, it’s better than it was before (never opened or tilted) but I want to be able to vent all the hot air out of the car by opening up all the windows and sunroof as I approach before getting into the car. Any help you provide is mightily appreciated. |

Hey, sorry for the delay responding. No, none of that is what I was referring to. Go into the sunroof control module. I cannot remember the address, but in OBDEleven it will be listed with the picture. In there, either activate or change the setting to SLIDE. If that doesn’t make sense when you look in OBDeleven I’ll try to grab mine and get some screenshots of what I mean.
