There is a change on later models, and there is a thread for it for VCDS.
I managed to follow most of it but the last bit says that later models require A5 coding byte 16 bit 4 enabled(as opposed to byte 1 bit 0).
The issue I had was anything listed for byte 16 on OBD11 shows as Bluetooth in the description ?

Edit, went into the actual coding and found what I needed, now enabled
