Hello, I am currently changing the rear lights on a Golf 8 ClubSport to IQ lights.
The problem is that the reverse lights are always on.
Could this be a coding issue? Or a wiring issue?
Has anyone already done this modification and could help me?
Or if you know any garages that do this retrofit near Luxembourg, Germany, I would appreciate the recommendation.

Did you do any additional wiring, or just plug them in with new connectors? Pin 7 is the reverse lights on the outer housings on the IQ lights. What did you put in pin 7 of the new (brown) connector for the IQ lights? Sounds like you (maybe) put the tail lights signal in there (pin 2 on the old black 6 pin connector)?

It is not plug and play. You need to rewire the rear harness. A new set of wires from the 09-Central electric unit is needed for the inner light module turn signal. I personally would opt for a conversion harness, like the one Kufatec offers. After connections have been done, coding of appropriate 09 adaptation channels is needed to get the dynamic light functionality.

Hello, first of all, thank you for your prompt response, it was very helpful.
I actually have a special harness for the IQ lights. Your comment was very useful because I did not know that pin7 was the reverse light.
I finally managed to get my IQ lights working; it was not a wiring issue, but rather a compatibility problem between the new harness and the BCM. I resolved this issue by mixing the new and old harnesses.
Thank you for your feedback in any case.

Hello. I installed IQ LIGHT rear lights. Connected via ELSA. I installed a new wiring harness from the BCM.
Tell me what encodings/adaptations need to be changed in order for the side lights to light up smoothly and the dynamic turn signal to appear?
