Hello, so this is the fault code that came up Golf MK7 GTI Sport 2017 NAR Coolant Pump Control Circuit "Open"
Fault Code: P260000 Status: static Date: 2023.11.30 01:20:22 Milage: 69811 km Priority: 2 Malfunction frequency counter: 1 Unlearning counter: 255 Engine speed: 1239/min Normed load value: 0.0% Vehicle speed: 52km/h Coolant temperature: 89°C Intake air temperature: 14°C Ambient air pressure: 960mbar Dynamic enviromental data: 209628110E0511EC0411DC000011ED1710A6019911EE2011DB0403 No lights on the dash or engine/coolant temperature problems, just a fault in OBD11 I searched on Google for the "P260000" specifically, but I can't find any information on it, it shows me other "secondary or auxilary coolant pump" fault codes, but not this one. I'm looking for the location of this pump and a "tutorial" on how to replace/access it. Update: Here are some screenshot of the Live data values. Air blower ON, Engine ON/ Air blower OFF, Engine ON/ All OFF
When I turn OFF the engine, I hear a little motor going for a while. Thank you in advance

grbac : Hi. With absolutely no offense intended - my most disliked dynamic on forums (both here and on other forums that I frequent) is posts that include extracts only of SCAN reports!! I have never understood why those authoring these posts would want to hide the wealth of diagnostic data that's hidden in the missing part of the SCAN report. My guess is that the reason for truncating SCANs is the author's attempt to focus the reader's attention on the specific error(s) and maybe to ensure that the post is short (i.e. not complicated by what the author believes is irrelevant information). However, this philosophy couldn't be further from the truth - there are many, many ways to read a SCAN and each different reading reveals valuable aspects for fault finding!! And if nothing else - the SCAN tells the reader how the car is built - which is essential to understanding the context for the fault and when attempting remote diagnostics!!
OK - rant over (again, no offense intended)
So, two important facts that are NOT revealed in your SCAN extract: what is the date of this SCAN and which engine is fitted to this car?
Of course the Coolant Pump Control Circuit varies with the engine type - it may be well understood in the land-of-the-free which engine is fitted to a MY17 NAR Golf GTI, but for obvious reasons, this information is not well known down here in the very, very deep South!
And the SCAN date is valuable because of the following aspects of the Freeze-frame data in your post : - The Date of the fault code is 2023.11.30 in the early morning. This is the date/time when this error was FIRST registered in the module's fault memory (I assume, the 01-engine module)
- The Malfunction frequency counter =1. This means that in the interval between the date when this fault was first registered in the module's fault memory and the date of the SCAN, the error has NOT reappeared in a subsequent "drive cycle". A "drive cycle" is a defined term in VW speak, but a very broad way of thinking about this term is a not-short drive).
The 2 x points above means that if the SCAN from which the extract was taken was made recently, this is what I call "an aged fault" because 161 days has passed since this fault happened (from today's date).
So, my suggestion is that you clear this fault and don't worry about it (but take note if it appears again)
Don
PS: the hum from the "little motor" is normal - this is the pump cooling the engine after ignition-OFF!

Hi,
As far as I know, the fault is static/red and it won't go away with pressing the "clear faults" button. I'll do a full re-scan and try to clear it, but I doubt it'll go away. Here is the data log from my last scan. (sorry for not posting it from the begining)
