Please help me.

I tried to do some long coding on my Audi A4 from 2020 with an old version of VCDS on the coming home features. Apparantly I screwed up big time, because the next day i got two errors related to adaptive lightning and normal lighting in my dashboard. The lights also do not work anymore. So naturaly I longcoded it back to the original code, but I cant get rid of the fault codes. After some google-ing, I thought the solution would be do the basic setting -> activate basic headlamp settings -> acknowl. basic setting. In order to do this I bought a ODB11 with a PRO subscription, so I could do this. But after doing this, the fault codes keep returning after clearing them.

Can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong? Or give me instructions on what to do? I feel like it has something to do with the faultcode databus error value.

The only solution was to ask Audi to restore the firmware. Lesson learned. Have not touched the headlight settings after this.

You say that you made the original changes to this car using VCDS and you also say that you "longcoded it back" without solving the problem.

Without intending any offense - my hunch is that perhaps the changes made to revert-back the long-code string to factory settings (on the 09 module, I assume) did NOT align with original changes made. I'm guessing of course!

Not sure if you are aware that VCDS keeps a record of ALL changes that you make. The change-database is stored on the laptop that is used to run the VCDS software. Each stored change record contains a date-stamp, the new value and the old value - so it's easy to check if the change that you thought that you made was actually the change that happened!!

My suggestion is that you go to the sub-directory C:\Ross-Tech\Debug on your laptop and open CodingLog.CSV. If you want help unpaking the change record, ask here
