Can you tell me what the security access code is for a 2012 b7 passat? For example trying to reset number of comfort blinkers I need an access code when I go into security. Using the typical ones found online do not work.
Also, in some adaptations it asks for a channel number. Do you have a list available for all of this info?
Thanks

I don't know the security access code for your model. You would have to get this from the workshop manual.
Give me the control module hardware number from the scan and I'll look up the documented channel numbers You can also easily do it yourself by downloading the Ross-Tech VCDS software (which is free), install it, then browse to the VCDS folder and browse for the "label" file that has the information including the suggested security access code for your module. This file you would open with any text editor.

Thx for your efforts. Does the vcds work without a problem with the obdeleven module? Or do I have to make any workarounds? Thx

VCDS only works with the genuine Ross-Tech cable / HexNet device. It isn't compatible with the OBDeleven dongle.
You need to remember to the OBDeleven dongle is designed to work with the official OBDeleven application
I'll look for the security code for the original poster shortly.

Where can I find the chassis number, and what part of the label will be the security code? I have a USA (NMS) Passat, not a true B7, not sure if that will matter?
I've found the sticker in the trunk where the spare tire is, will that have the security code on it?

If this is a USA NMS Model you should be able to change that setting in adaptations without having to enter security code.

No. I don't have any such tools for decrypting *.*clb label files as these are encrypted by Ross-Tech themselves. I have a genuine VCDS cable, so I'm able to connect it to my car and code accordingly. Your module seems like something from a B7 Passat. I see a YouTube page outlining another revision of your module here: I'd need to get access to a Passat B7 or a car with your module to show you how the labels look in VCDS. There is no "security access" code for that module at address 09 wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Passat_(3C)_Central_ElectronicsPlease post your complete SCAN so that I can better assist you
