Hi guys, My left rear blinker is playing up and I can t figure out why as the adaptation seems to be fine.
Sometimes it blinks as intended with the sweeping , then after few blinks it stops sweeping and the all thing goes blinking solid ,then inner and outer go completely out of synch , after a bit it goes back to solid flash. I m lost

sim981 : Hi. So, there really isn't much information provided about this car to provide an informed response! However, based ONLY on your description of the odd turn-signal behavior, the cause of the problem does NOT appear to be a coding issue. Instead, my suspicion (again based solely on your words) is that this is a problem that likely has a physical cause.
Sequential turn-signal lamps use 2 x wires to operate correctly: - one of the wires carries +12V to power the LED chaser circuit in the turn-signal lamp (this wire produces the "sweeping" effect)
- a separate wire provides the ON/OFF pulses (this wire produces the blinking effect)
The change from sequential to solid blinking when you say "after few blinks it stops sweeping and the all thing goes blinking solid" - sounds like the offending turn-signal lamp might be intermittently losing the +12V power supply - maybe?
I'm not sure what to make of the intermittent counter-blinking behavior - but again, this behavior is NOT symptomatic of a coding problem!
Now, how to proceed with diagnostic investigations depends on how this car was factory built:
- If the sequential tail-lights on this car were factory installed (meaning if these are OEM fittings), then I suggest that you investigate the condition of the pins/wires on the tail-light connector.
- If this car was factory built with incandescent tail-lights (meaning that these are after-market tail-lights), then you have the added complexity to also check the integrity of the cross-wiring harness connections. This harness is installed between the factory wiring loom on the car and the retrofitted (non-OEM) tail-light fittings.
Finally, I suggest that you pay particular attention to the condition of the wires/pin-connections on the earth wire(s) as these type of faults are notorious for producing weird lighting effects!!
