Hey everyone. Looking to see if the OBD11 can help me wiht my 2 largest needs before purchasing one. I don't mind going the long coding route, just want to make sure it has the ability to control these things as I don't have a great grasp about what it can and can't do. Thanks for any help you guys can provide!
1. Disable ratio timeout. After turning the car off and using the radio power button to turn the radio back on, it automatically turns off after some time period, like 30 minutes. I love going to the drive in movies in my hatchbacks, but I had to keep getting out to turn back on the radio whenever it turned off. I need to be able to either disable the timer, or at the very least change it to something like 3 hours.
2. Enable locking doors while one is open. With the doors open, I need to be able to lock the doors, with either the door switch or the fob. My old Focus could do this and it was so easy to open the door, lock the car, grab all my groceries or gym bag or whatever, get out and just bump the door closed without having to fumble for the keys to lock it.
Do you guys know if the coding may have any control over these two things? Thanks!

Mine always has had the door locking, except on the drivers door, so if I opened the drivers door and closed it waited for a passenger to open the door and locked it while the passenger door was open the car would lock as soon as the passenger closed the door

Huh. Mine doesn't work like that, and I can't seem to find a way at all to lock the doors without the key fob. Door switch lock is non-functional with the door open, either driver or passenger.

Hello !
1) Why not leave key in the first position? Ignition , Blower etc are off , but radio works as long as you use this position . Or not ?
