Hello, Just saw this info on the B9 forum, that they can set the Audi Sport text as the startup screen instead of e.g. the Audi Rings. They mention 2 possibilities to change this, based on build year i think: 1. On older build year models: Unit 5F - Adaptation or Long Coding - Vehicle Variant - Change to 73. 2. On newer build year models: Unit 17 - Long Coding - Vehicle Variant - Change to 73. I have checked on my car (2023 S-Line A3) and found the Vehicle Variant under Unit 17 - Long Coding but the derivates list goes only to value 64 with current value set to 22. Did anybody play with this and was able to change their current startup screen to the Audi Sport one? Thank you.  |

I changed my derivative from 25 (s_line edition 1 sedan) > 27 (rs3 sedan). This changed the vc start up logo from the Audi rings to the Audi sport logo.

Does anyone by any chance know which derivative to take for Audi A3 S-line sportback? And also, are there different colors available or only the black one? Same goes for the fact that my car now shows matrix leds in my cockpit but I don't have these. Thanks in advance  |

I am not sure about the derivates values for different types of cars, but based on what millsey79 shared, i am thinking that if he had 25 for S-Line Sedan and 27 was for RS Sedan, as i have 22 for S-Line Sportback then 24 should be for RS Sportback. I did not manage to test it, but from my understanding this setting should only have an impact on the welcome screen and not on the car shown in the VC or anything else.
Also from what i have read it seems that on newer models the Audi Sport writing is replaced with an RS logo.
I don’t think the car show in the VC is so specifically detailed based on each one’s options, i would say that it is a generic Sportback an Sedan for each version.

When I was experimenting with the different derivatives I noticed that most of them looked the same with no visual differences. Although some did add some additional features onto to VC, like a boost gauge. I have the VC plus so I'm not sure if the standard VC will function in the same way.

Thank you millsey79 for the details. I also have the VC Plus. One question please. After you changed the derivative with OBD11 for your various tests, did you also restart each time the MMI with the 2 finger method in the upper right corner from the central screen in order to apply the changes? Or did you just lock the car, leave it like this for 1-2 minutes and then tested? Thank you! |

Yes I did a reset everytime but I just reset using the MMI on/off button no need for anything else.

Just as an update. I changed the derivative from 22 to 24 and the info from another similar topic here is correct, as my car is newer and has SW 3801 the Audi Sport writing is no longer displayed, instead an RS logo is displayed. I reverted back to the Audi rings.

I have Audi A3 S-Line 2023 with Multimedia Software Version 3801, my original setting was derivative_25 which showing Audi rings when I changed it to derivative_30, I got Audi Sport logo on the startup and shutdown, which shown above in mirceamn's post.

I tried this change on my S3, but as others have said when selecting 27 it displays the RS logo instead. But unfortunately I was unable to revert to the original value of 26 as it gave "error with SFD". Will have to try some other numbers.
Edit: 30 worked perfectly and displayed the Audi Sport logo.

Hello! When I try to set 30, I get a message that the function is not available. when I change between 25-27, the coding is accepted, but nothing changes... does anyone have any ideas?
