Hello, so I was looking around on google hoping to find a fix for this thing. So my Golf is a US version imported to EU. I already managed to change the frequency from US to EU and added the station logos, but the radio station name and text only appear under the frequency as shown here ( imgur.com/a/dny5VDg ) instead of showing the station name up top and the radio text under it. Does anybody know how to change that?

grbac : hm.........with absolutely no offense intended - I suspect that you are misunderstanding the term "Radio Text" as used in the MENU screen. The real name for what VW calls "Radio Text" is Radio Data System (RDS) - which is a communications protocol standard for embedding small amounts of digital information in conventional FM radio broadcasts. RDS provides information like, time and date, logo graphic and the name of songs that are broadcasted. Importantly for this problem. RDS does NOT report the radio-frequency
Alas, I don't actually have a mk7 in the garage at the moment - so, I can't provide a definitive answer to your question. I'm sure the option is in the MENU - but it's definately NOT in "Radio Text"!

simple - wait for the moment when RDS show radio station name and save the station again - then you have what you need

Hello, my RDS is enabled, as seen HERE, and with it turned ON my "Station list" looks like THIS ( this is with RDS off) and the main radio screen like THIS (Capris is the station name) on which the station name and SONG NAME alternate beneath the radion frequency instead of the frequency being replaced by the station name. This are my settings ( Settings with RDS off), Advanced settings. I can literally be a few meters away from the radion tower/antenna and the it will be the same, frequency instead the station name, station name and current song name alternating in the "radio text" area?. The logos were added by me via USB.
