Hi all,
Does anybody have the coding for a 2017 S3 for the hill hold assist, please?
Also, I have got the button installed, but a little confused as to what pins to wire in on the ABS side. I believe it's pin 23 and 32, please can anyone confirm?
Thanks

Yes, you are correct - the Audi wiring diagram says:
- pin #23 of the 46 x pin connector on the ABS module is connected to pin #1 of the 4 x pin connector on the auto-hold button (E540), and
- pin #32 of the 46 x pin connector on the ABS module is connected to pin #3 of the 4 x pin connector on the auto-hold button
On my Audi A3, 8V (MY18), the coding for Hill Hold is like this: 03 - Brake Module, Byte 25:
- Bit 0 = 1, Bit 1 = 0 -> 7 x speed transmission (DG200) with Electric Parking Brake
However, the information that I have about Hill Hold in my MQB platform database is like this:
03 - Brake Module Byte 25:
- Bit 0 = 1, Bit 1 = 0 -> 6 x speed transmission (AQ series)
- Bit 0 = 0, Bit 1 = 1 -> 7 x speed transmission (DQ/MQ series) with Electric Parking Brake
- Bit 0 = 1, Bit 1 = 1 -> 7 x speed transmission (DQ/MQ series) without Electric Parking Brake
Also, 03 - Brake Module Byte 23: - Bit 0= 1 (Auto Hold Enable), and
- Bit 1 =1 (XDS up to 110kw Enable)

As always Don, thanks very much.
If the weather is nice, I shall hopefully finish my install this weekend.

I also have an error in module 5F I'm assuming my MMI unit is looking for a front camera and cannot find one. How do I stop the error? Thanks.

wb1983 : hmm......... I don't understand!!!
What do you mean by "I accidentally clicked auto update on the installed modules"? OBD11 will tell you that there is an update available for the firmware in various modules - but I don't believe that it will download and install the module updates. In fact, I would have thought that legal restrictions like IP (modules are the product of many different commercial companies) would prohibit OBD11 from freely disseminating copies of module firmware updates. Everyone else has to buy these updates!! Plus, an auto install facility for module firmware would be highly prone to bricking modules if an incorrect update file was selected - I very much doubt that OBD11 would accept liability for errors resulting from the auto install process! I suspect that you are confusing an OBD11 software update with module firmware update - maybe? Also, your screenshot showing the Parking aid adjustments is normal for vehicles that have the proximity sensors installed in the front/rear bumper. Does this car have these sensors installed? Finally, I'm not sure about the MMI error message - this is a generalized error code that could result from a large number of causes. What coding changes did you make? Don

Hi Don,
The update was a module 19 gateway auto update. My fat thumbs clicked on 'ok'
So what happened was the auto update module 19 uncoded the reverse camera and so module 6C was then missing.
However, module 5F was still looking for the camera in it's adaptations as was the park assist module.
It's all resolved now and zero error codes are present.
Thanks.
