Interior and boot lights stopped working, and the dashboard went to lowest setting dimming lights when ignition is on, I had led lights in boot and when I was trying to turn on the lights and the engine was on, it was showing as I would actually open the boot. i have put the stock lights in boot and now that is not showing anymore, but the lights still don't work and the dashboard does the same, the only error I get is history.txt (12.09 KB)

Hmm......... your SCAN is reporting Component Protection (CP) errors on the modules called 09 Central Electrics and 19 Gateway.The date of these errors is 2024-02-06

It makes sense for the 19 Gateway module to have a CP error when another module in the car also has this error because the 19 Gateway module is the master module for Component Protection surveillance in the car!

I'm not sure if you know about CP - but every-time that you turn-ON the car's ignition, the CP master module checks if any new key-modules have been installed into the car. If the CP master module detects a new key-module - a CP error is generated both in the master module and in the new module (hence the 2 x CP errors in your SCAN)! Newly installed modules with CP errors need to be re-authorized to operate with the car's VIN - which is normally a service that a dealer provides

On this car, the CP error means that the CP master module believes that 09 central electrics module is new !!. When a CP error is detected, the module doesn't work correctly (and sometimes other modules also are affected)- so it's very likely that this is the reason for your observations.

What's the backstory for this car ?

I have this car since April 2022. I didnt change anything in it and the interior light and boot light and seat heating stopped working suddenly. I started the car and everything was ok and when i arrived home they weren't working anymore. I read on-line that it might have something to do with the led in the boot so i replaced them with normal ones. But still doesnt work and it seems that central electrics 9 isn't coded anymore it reads only 0 all the way

I did had in November installed a hardwire camera on the fuse for airbag. Witch i recently put on fuse 48 for mirror showing when someone come from death angle. Could that be the problem. That i use fuse for abs? I switched to 48 after lights stopped working

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "it reads only 0 all the way"!! If you are referring to the value of the long-code string on the central electrics module - a long-code string of ALL zeros is NOT unusual if the car was built after about mid 2016. On these cars, the central electrics module does NOT have an active long-code!

"I use fuse for abs"? I have no idea what this means - but adding aftermarket equipment to the ABS module is NOT recommended. The proper place for this non-OEM equipment is on the fuse that supplies the +12V plugs in the cabin/boot.

Maybe try this - first try deleting the CP error using the OBD11 facility. If this doesn't work- try temporarily disconnecting the negative battery lead for 5 minutes. This will result in a number of errors appearing on the dashboard, which should self-clear after a short drive - but hopefully the battery disconnection will reset the CP interrogation process
