5F > Adaptations > Function Configuration HMI > Screenings. Cycle through the values starting with 1 and reboot after each change until desired result is achieved

Do you know what number can make the R logo appear?

Not off the top of my head. That’s why I suggested cycling through the values and rebooting each time until you get the desired result

I think the “old” and “new” you are referring to are actually R-Line R symbol, and legitimate R. I could be wrong I haven’t messed with those settings in over a year

Number 4 returns nothing, the only one is number 2 which returns GTD

Are you talking about the Multimedia screen or the AID display? It seems there is a mix up . If you want to adjust the MIB3 boot logo then check N3oka's latest coding list at 1.1.52. This was tested with software 1941 so not sure if there could be missing images with older software. Also need SFD. Anyway go into Control unit 5F then function_configuration_hmi and screenings. Insert one of the following numbers for the selected boot image: 0 = VW, 2= GTD, 3 = GTI, 6 = R, 7 = R-Line, 8 = Alltrack
