I have recently purchased a 2024 Golf GTI. The exhaust system on the vehicle much louder that I like.
Is it possible to make the car quieter via software adjustments? For example, is there an exhaust valve or flap somewhere in the exhaust system that opens and closes to modify the sound the exhaust makes?

do you mean the real exhaust? No. You need an external exhaust flap control (remote control) to close the flaps

Thanks very much for your informative reply.
Does the 2024 MK 8 Golf (GTI version) have a controllable flap somewhere in the exhaust system? If so, can the operation of this flap be influenced via software (coding, or adaptation)?

It is possible to reduce the fake sound from the audio system. The default setting is to 100% i set it ti 0% But the real sound of gti is very silence for me, also is real sound
