Hi all have yet another AFS thread for your reading

, really hoping someone can help me out, I bough a 2014 GTD thats a crash repair on front right so headlight was replaced and I was told when I bought it that it just needed coded but turned out all 3 modules were full of water so dead. I have replaced all the modules on the right headlight but I am still getting C1082F0 (Right headlight power output stage) error code.

I will upload a copy ASAP of what reports I think is needed from obdeleven but please tell me which you need so I can upload correct ones.

hmm................let's start with a full copy of the SCAN report for this car - meaning UNEDITED. If your don't know how to digitize the SCAN report -do this:

Fire-up OBD11 software (no need to connect to the dongle)
Select Garage (at bottom of Home screen)
Select the car if you have multiple vehicles registered to your account
Scroll-down and select History

So, look at the Freeze-frame data on the hex55 module - notice the datestamp (2023-12-17) which is when the fault was first recorded in fault memory - was this the date of the collision?

Also note Malfunction frequency counter =1 - this is the number of times after first registration that the same fault has reappeared on a subsequent ignition cycle

Given that the SCAN date is 2024-01-09, this means in the 23 day interval, this fault has NOT reappeared on a subsequent ignition cycle!! Now, this could well be because this car has been inactive since the collision - maybe? Have you tried clearing the errors on this car and taking a fresh SCAN?

Anyhow, if the C1082F0 error is current - it is likely because the hex55 module is unhappy with the right-side output module (called "J668"). Normally the output module is automatically programmed by the hex55 module - but this ONLY happens if there are no problems on the local "Extended CAN" bus.

Clearly there could be any number of reasons for the error - but since I assume that there have have been NO coding changes on this car (is this correct?) - I suspect that the likely cause is either equipment failure/incompatibility, or wiring damage. Does the new output module have the same part numbers as the original good module on the left car-side?

A trick that is often used to narrow the diagnostic area for further investigation is to swap the good (left-side) and faulty (right-side) output modules.

If the error message follows the swap, the problem is with the output module, itself.
If not, I suggest that you eyeball the wiring loom on the right-side headlight and particularly since the right-side headlight has been inundated with water, investigate the state of connections INSIDE the right-side headlight housing
