Hello,
Is there any way to force the air recirculation to stay on when I press it. It often turns itself off randomly even though I've turned it on.

hmm............ good question!! The switch-ON time for recirculation is deliberately limited because it results in a build-up of "stale-air" inside the cabin. This can quickly make the driver tired and it can affect concentration - hence the automatic switch-OFF of the function after a period of time. As for your question, it really depends on the version A/C installed in the car - but on the Climatronic unit, the ONLY channel in the 08 module that has any relationship to the function is
- Recirculation air for production routines
The default setting for this channel is No effect - but I suspect that the value automatically changes when the recirculation function is activated. You could investigated how this channel setting operates. I'm not sure if you can over-ride the value permanently - I suspect not, but you could experiment (I guess)!
