Hey Guys
On my mk7 golf R, I was able to adjust the brightness of the DRLS when on dipped beam with a little help from dv52 (Australia)
I recently bought a 7.5 Golf R and I have been trying to find the same leuchte set option but it seems a little different.
On the mk7, the options were under Leuchte 2 and Leuchte 3, but doesnt seem the case on the 7.5
I was wondering does anyone know how to keep the DRLs at 100% while on dipped/high beam? The DRLs currently dip when on Dipped/high
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks Chris

Chris: hello again!! So- here's the thing when comparing how the 35 x exterior lights are controlled on a Golf mk7.5 and a Golf mk7: As you already know, the central electrics module is pivotal to the management of these lights on a golf mk7. Of course, this module is also key to controlling lots of other "convenience" functions on MQB platform cars (as well as controlling the exterior lights)
However, stuff changed on the next generation Golf -On mk7.5s, VW relaxed the role of the central electrics module by introducing new modules that are specifically designed to control the lamps in the headlight fittings. These new modules (if installed) can be found in your SCAN report as either 4B Multifunction Module, or as Light Control Modules (LCMs) which OBD11 reports as 29 Light Control Left and 39 Light Control Right.
In mk7.5 vehicles that are fitted with these new headlight modules, the traditional Leuchte-sets for the headlight lamps in the central electrics module are factory disabled because the hex09 module no longer controls these lights.
If this car is fitted with LCMs, changing the factory-set lamp behavior is problematic because OBD11 cannot access these facilities, alas!
So - bottom line: Look at the SCAN report for the mk7.5. If this car has LCMs, it ain't possible to alter the DRL illumination level!

Don Hey Don,
Thanks for the reply!
I will perform a scan today at some point to see if my car has these control modules.
I take it that its just a case of performing full scan?
Thanks Chris

Side question... you knowledgeable when it comes to Ambient lighting, specifically door led and footwell? I activated 30 colours ambient lighting but the door and footwell didn't seem to change colour!
if so, ill create a post

Chris: my suspicion is that this car wasn't built with the multi-color LED version ambient lighting on the door cards and footwell (not ALL MQB platform cars are created equal)
