Hello Guys, I have a question for you all. I have a Audi A3 8Y 2020- sedan and i wanted to retrofit a reversing camera. I bought this product from AliExpress and the seller told me that according to my VIN number this should fit into my car link to product.
I have to code the following parameters. Is this possible to do with OBDeleven? (never done it before) Or do i need like odis online or something, i am very nooby in this subject so if someone could help me out I would appreciate it alot.  |

Yes it can, I did it using my golf 8 retrofit. One thing to be aware of which I'm not 100% sure of it may require a firmware loaded to it I think using odis.
Mine was a used camera so had the correct firmware already
With yours being new it may need it I'm not sure. There will be more.ingo on golf 8 section on here as I've seen a few people do it let us know how it goes

You also had “same camera’ish” for audi a3 8y?? And exact same guidelines?
I will recieve my OBDELEVEN ultimate package within these days and i will try to code:)

most of those cameras you buy from aliexpress you need to load parameters on or update first before coding

Just make sure to buy the ones specifically for the Audi 8Y. You can check with the sellers if they already have the parameters for your car. In the worst case you can go by a local shop to calibrate your camera. But mine worked fine out of the box.

Just need help with coding of it.
For instance, coding scheme says:
Go to module: Gateaway 19 > byte 20 = 02 RVC compact smart
If i go long coding option for Gateaway 19 > i can select the byte index to 20, but dont know what to do after that..
Do i have to set byte index to 20 and and hex index to 02?

Can you take a screenshot of your coding screen. I think you do not need to code via the byte interface but rather the interface that OBDEleven provides in which you can choose various settings via dropdown boxes.
