edwin23 : hmm........... I'm not sure if every version of Golf mk7 has an oil sensor that measures actual level rather than just detects a minimum level to operate the oil warning lamp.

My hunch (guess, really) is that this car has just the oil-level threshold switch. So, what you are reading on the OBD11 App is the minimum oil-level that could be measured if this car had the oil sensor installed that allowed actual measured values - I think.
