Hi, so, the 4.0 MEB software will have battery heating, both "automatic" and manual. *sigh* This is what I expected to get years ago, in my naive belief that VW would be responsive to the user needs. But on all the youtube channels I watch, people say this will never come for my 1'st (2000) car. It makes me sad, a little bit angry, but also interested. So a broad-band question on this forum: has anoyone dived into the battery heating/cooling mechanisnm on the MEB-car? We know it has the potential to do this, as the early software heated the battery to +15C even for short trips. Would be so cool to do this, even if I understand that OBDeleven is not the ideal tool for it.

Output testing and search for HV Battery Heater.
It will trigger the battery heating system for 5 minutes

Ok, so, bear with me as I'm a noob. If I understand things correctly the hood needs to be open. I tested the funktion while charging, and it looked as if the incoming heat into the battery heated it up from around zero to around 25 degrees during the fast charging session. I tried to compare later on the trip without activating heater, but I could see about the same figures. Have VW implemented battery heating while charging in software 3.2?

Heating while charging was already active with my V2.1 but on level 3 though. It would heat until battery reached 25C.

I get an error “function cannot be performed” when I choose 300 seconds and slide to write. Am I doing it wrong?

I also tried this first using iOS version. Couldnt get it to work. Changed to the android version and no problems.
