Hi.
I'm having some issues with my 2002 Leon Cupra R, in that I can't get the ESP light to turn out - or rather neither the garage or auto electrician who have tried can't get rid of the light.
I'm considering buying one of these units in the hope that I can get the system to recalibrate as I don't think they are using genuine VAG diagnostics.
The fault codes are indicating a steering angle sensor mechanical failure, yet it can read speed at each wheel and steering wheel angle.
I believe this to be a common fault with this model where there has been some disconnection with the ABS system.
My wiring loom was damaged by another garage when replacing the front passenger spring and the ABS went funny.
I took my car to a different auto electrician who fixed the ABS issue but sent the car back with the "steering angle fault" which points towards ABS and a calibration issue.
Could you advise which device, if any, I would be best purchasing... and what you feel the likelihood of me being able to recalibrate this myself might be with this device.
It's a shame I can't seem to find a good diagnostic centre close by as I would take my car in and let them fix it... had the garage not let my MOT run out without fixing this issue, haha!
