I apologize if this has already been asked before or has a thread already created for it. I have recently purchased a used 2015 golf SE TSI it believe it has the lighting package on it as it has the bright headlights fog lights and mirror turn signals too. My issue is I had went to get it inspected the other day and it had failed inspection due to my fog lights not turning off when the high beams are engaged and back on when they are no longer engaged. They just stayed on the whole time no matter the position the high beams talk. So I bought an OBDeleven tool after my inspection because i read that I can change the coding and felt confident enough to do that as I work in software engineering and I also wanted to use it as a diagnostic tool for the car later on. However, I’ve not really the slightest bit of a clue on how to code the fog lights so they no longer stay on when the high beams are activated and come back when it’s deactivated. I’ve read online that it’s in 09 central electronics but everything is in German lol. Any help would be appreciated and thanks to those who take the time to help me out.
TLDR: Failed state inspection because fog lights stay on while high beams turn on. What is the coding to resolve this issue so the fog lights turn off when the high beams come on and the fog lights come back when high beams are turned off.

hmm..............the values on your Leuchte-sets are factory settings - so this is how the fog lights were designed to operate. Odd that a car sold in this local market doesn't conform with the local road laws for headlights (unless the car was imported from another country).
It makes sense to turn-off the high-beam lights when it's foggy (the high-beam pattern will shine directly into the fog)- but are you sure that the mechanic is correct about this being a legal requirement in your country? What country is this?
Anyhow, try this: Leuchte12NL LB45 - Lichtfunktion C 12 > Fernlicht links
- Lichtfunktion D 12 > Lichthupe generell
- Dimmwert CD 12 > 0
- Dimming Direction CD 12 > minimize
Leuchte13NL RB5 - Lichtfunktion C 13 > Fernlicht rechts
- Lichtfunktion D 13 > Lichthupe generell
- Dimmwert CD 13 > 0
- Dimming Direction CD 13 > minimize

The US but it should be factory settings as I don’t think it was ever changed. I bought it from a garage that buys totaled cars off auction and rebuilds them with a rebuilt/salvaged title. I called up the shop and they called a dealer stating that is how the car is supposed to function based off my VIN. But I called up a local dealer near me that had stated otherwise so I’m trying to code it rather than fight the dealerships.
