I just got a 2024 Q8 e-tron and am wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for OBDeleven modifications? I looked through the Apps and made one change, but most of them were either nothing worth changing or already an option in the MMI so I’m really focusing on long coding suggestions.

Hey, I'm in the same boat as you. Just picked up a 2024 q8 etron sportback. Got an OBD and the first thing I did today was the video in motion app.
Kinda cool, just get a usb C thumbdrive, load up some horizontal movies or videos or whatever onto the drive (make sure you save as .mp4), download the VIM app on obd and install it, plug in the drive into the left usb c outlet and u can watch videos while driving.
What I REALLY want to do, is somehow enable ambient lighting. I bought the LED interior lighting package, but apparently that doesn't include ambient lighting.. I'm on a mission to get that unlocked on my car.
Did you get the sportback or the normal one?

I also got the sportback (white). Mine also has the LED interior lighting package and I thought there were some settings in the MMI about ambient lighting but I'll need to check.
One thing that really annoys me is if I leave the car for any extended period, whenever I start it up again the virtual cockpit shows the "date/time" screen, which to me is the most useless screen. In contrast, the MMI screen always starts up with whatever screen it was on when I turned off the car. What I want is a way to ensure that the Virtual Cockpit "startup screen" starts with whatever screen it was on when the car was turned off. I know there is an OBDeleven option for the startup screen, but it only shows options for version 1-8, but it doesn't seem that any of the options does anything differently.

I tried (hood is open, ignition is on), but any coding/adaptation/app doesn't work for me. It freezed or show me error, something like this "Error, try again later' |

I tried the TAILIGHT ANIMATION for 100 credits and didn't work. But they refunded me already. So far I only activated the disanble SEATBELT sound and the SCANDINAVIAN DRLs but I dont think the lights are working.

What did you end up doing with your q8 etron? Mine I only managed to silence the seatbelts.

What did you end up doing with your q8 etron? Mine I only managed to silence the seatbelts. I have been able to make a few tweaks. I recently added the 360 camera to allow it to run at any speed. I also have the AM Radio, removed the “phone” tab option from the VC, changed the “soft” blinker to five instead of three and a few other things |

Anybody succeeded with removing the panning navigation limitation during motion? Also the menu limitation also in motion?
