Hey!
I've just installed GTI door card with the red LED strip and handle lights in my 2018 Sportwagen. Every thing is wired correctly and i have activated ambient light and handle light in both driver and passenger door control unit.
The handle lights work and i control them via the wheel for the instrument lights, but the red LED strips and the lights just above the windows controls does not work. Am i missing some coding?
I think i've read some where that you can have the dimming option for the ambient door lights separated from the control of the footwell light in the headunit. Any lead on the coding for that?
EDIT: i just find i need to set to installed for Ambiente_Applikationsleistein_in_tuerta_fel in interior light/light configuration, in 09. Now, i have the control for the door ambiant light in my head unit, but the LED strips and lights next to the window control still does not light up...

ok, so a other update.
I am trying to follow the coding from Mr.Fix, but there is some part of it that i don't find the access in my OBD11. Now the strips LED works but only when the doors are open...
In 5F:
1. I can't find Vehicule function list BAP
In 09:
1. Since there is not more long coding, i don't know how to enable Byte 01,bit 01 (ambient door panel light)
2. I don't have Ambient lighting in my adaptation list
3. I can't type 3C in Interior lighting: parameter → p_adaption_kundenwunsch_tuer, only numbers no letter.

UP! Any one could point my in the right direction for coding so my door card lights works like my footwell lights? Open even if my doors are closed? dv52 (Australia) you seems to be the one to go to around here? |

It’s in mine in 5f adaptions  Depends if your lights are controlled via background lighting or lights to if you can dim seperaty Int lights are here in 09 (but door handles could be in one of the leutche sets  |

UP! Still searching how to make my LED strips and lights above my windows constrols light up even when my doors are closed. I have the dimming option in my head unit. If it's like when i retrofited footwell lights i am guessing it might be in one of the leuchte, but i can't find wich one! Still hoping that dv52 (Australia) you might have some insight? |

Yes, if you don't mind sharing your setting, it might help.
In my headunit it says doors ambient lights.
I do not have a "+" next to my central electric

All I know is some modules don’t do all that others do, and people who have the ones without + are the ones with problems vincebrou: vwjap is correct (he normally is correct) - not all door modules are created equal!!
HERE is the pin-out for the mk7/mk7.5 modules. I suggest that you physically eyeball the connectors on your modules and check whether they have the correct pins actually installed on the housing (and no - I don't have a version of the .PDF in English)

dv52 (Australia) , thanks for the info. Was kind of hard to read, but if i understand well the pin 8 is for ambient lightning. Which i have in both my control modules and it's on thèse pins that i plugued LED strip and lights. So i am guessing that my coding is not right. I might be missing something in one of the leuchte, but i can't seem to find wich one would control the ambient light in the doors... I don't know if it's worth mentionning that the control module i have were not the one that came with the car. I had to swap my original one for control module 5Q4959593E / 5Q4959592E to make my power folding mirror work...

So here is the update.
I wrote to Mr.Fix for some help and it seems i was only missing p_adaptation_kundunwunsch_tuer set to 1.00.
Everything is working fine now.
