Hey.
I think that on my 2020 Passat (B8.5) the DRL is not visible enough, so I would really like to add my LED fog lights (maybe not with 100% of strenght - or also if nothing else is possible) to a DRLs.. someone that can help me how to code it? 🙏 I have also turned on Scandinavian DRLs on the back (with one-click adaptations) because the car is not visible enough. I have OBDeleven PRO and MIB3 media unit..

U can add them. Go to: -> STG 09 - Central Electric --> Adaption ---> Search for your FogLights (before Facelifte: Leuchte12NL LB45 (left foglight) and Leuchte13NL RB5 (right foglight) ----> Take an empty lightfunction (example: Lichtfunktion E12 - "not active" to "Tagfahrlicht/DRL") Dimmwert EF12 - "0" up to "127" (if u want darker make 90 or less) Dimming Direction EF12 - "minimize" to "maximize"
That should work. If u want more help, show me your adaption channels and i can say which are the foglights.

Hey my friend!
I have checked a bit yesterday but I didn't change nothing for now because I have to be sure that I will not do something wrong (until now I have just done some one-click adaptations).
I found "Leuchte12NL LB45" and "Leuchte13NL RB5", and than inside I found "Tagfarlicht". Now another question to be sure that I understand it right.. Now I have to find in both "Leuchte 12NL" og "Leuchte13NL" one empty "Lichtfunktion" (example "Lichtfunktion C12") and change there? On both? And does it have to be on both the same empty "Lichtfunktion" (example in both Lichtfunktion 12C or it can be 12C on one and for example 12D on another)? 🙏

U understand it right. Take the same lightfunction for both lights (Example: C12 at Leuchte12NL LB45 and C13 at Leuchte13NL RB5). U need to "say" the light what it should do, so two lights (Foglight left and Foglight right) want to know what they should do. If u does it only at Leuchte12NL LB45 than only the left foglight will be one while DRL. Please be carefull with oneclick-Apps! U dont know, what changes are made and if something wont work after, u cant really reset it. Problem is, that oneclickapp changes wont show up in ur History. Take ur time and search for codings/adaptions instead. Could save u brain and money! Take a look here. It is a good list of possible codings. Unfortunately it isnt complete but really helpfull.

Good. Than I will try to do it today and I will let you know if it worked 😉
Yeah I have read a bit about that..but first after I have done some one-click adaptations 🤦♂️ Luckily I haven't seen any changes or problems after those adaptations 🤞
The only one that doesn't work is a change from 3 blinks to 5 for "Comfort Turn Signals" (I have also changed it manual in adaptations but how much I figure out it's a problem because I have MIB3 and there is no "lights settings reset" option 🤦♂️
I would really like to learn about coding to do a lot of things on my own, but so far I couldn't really find any learning material for beginners as I am tottaly new on that field.. do you maybe have any suggestions where to learn OBD coding from scratch? 🙏
I will have one more thing I would like to ask you for help, but one thing at a time, so first I want to be done with those fog lights as DRL 👍
Thank you very much for your help so far! 🍻🙏

I never used an App before, because im bit scared of and want to know whats behind that. Most Apps are easy do Adapt. or code. Thats why i always Adapt or code them. There needs to be a solution for "lights settings reset", but i dont find some atm. Ill read some more, hopefully i can answer that for you in a few days.
U have to learn it while doing. Search your codings, use ur list and read about everything (VCDS, lightfunctions, longcoding, ...). Everything u could do is documented and possible to find with google. Most of the time, while coding i understand some more things. Where are u from? Most things u'll finde could be in german. I saw many vids on youtube, read many posts at motortalkforum, golf forum, skoda forum, ... At every car with MQB-Basis or MQB-Evo-Basis u can do every coding (Seat codings are the same like Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda). The only difference: Some Control Units are newer, older and others have some other softwareversions -> sometimes u cant adapt/code things, which are normaly possible or the way to code is different. U can write me PM and ask everything, if u want. No problem.

Good evening.
I have made adaptations but I have to wait until tomorrow to see it when it will be a day light, otherwise sensor is turning on normal lights,.. so hope for a good result tomorrow 👍
Yeah that I can see..but now I know for the future that I just have to learn how to do adaptations/coding and do it on my own. I have to continue reading, watching, learning and I will learn it with time 🙂
If you can find out something about "lights settings reset" on MIB3, I would really apreciate it 🙏
I am originaly from Slovenia, but live in Denmark. Problem is also that I don't speak german..I had italian and english in school, and I speak danish and "balkan languages" (croatian, serbian, bosnian,..)
Tomorrow when I check if adaptations works, I will let you know. And then I will write to you on pvt for another thing I would really like to code.
