Hello. I'm new to this forum and I don't know if the question has been asked before. I have installed a Westfalia tow-bar through a local service center on my Golf MK7 2017. I'd like to know if an ODB Eleven could be used to activate the relative function instead of silencing the sensors every time.
It there a complete procedure to activate the tow-bar with Odb Eleven ?
Thanx
Fabrizio

Fabrizio: Ciao (I assume this is an Italian car)
I'm not aware of a specific OBD11 facility for retrofitting a trailer module onto a MQB platform car (like your Golf mk7) - but I list below coding that I've used in the past for an OEM trailer module.
Gateway module installation list: add hex 69 module
Coding:
- hex01 module: Byte 5, Bit 4=1
- hex76 module: Byte 3, Bit 0 = 0 Bit 1=1 (Pivoting trailer hitch), Bit 0=1 Bit 1=0 (manually removable trailer hitch)
- hex17 module: Byte 15, Bit 5=1 (trailer=yes)
- hex69 module: program long-code string for new trailer module as per country-of-use
Wild cards (depending on car-build): - hex03 module: Vehicle and trailer stabilization > activated
- hex09: Networking-Anhaengeranschlussgeraet > installed (translation "Networking-Trailer connection device")
- hexA5 module:code "AAG".
- hex13 module: code "trailer"
- hex6C module: code "trailer"
- hex6D module code "trailer"
