I have multiple times followed the steps listed below, but every time the security code is accepted, but then instantly pops up asking to be entered again. After its entered I try to apply new adaptations, but I just get the error seen in the picture. Has anyone encountered this and know of a fix? I am tired of the “Suspension Fault” error popping up on my dash.
With car lifted off the ground Enter Control Module 14- Adaptive Suspension
Go to Adaptations
Select “Adapting with deflected wheels”
Take note of the values, as they should change later.
Slide the green arrow to the right to write
Enter security code 20103. It should say success. (It doesn’t)
Enter Basic Settings
Select “Adapting with deflected wheels”
Slide to Start. It should run for a second and then say something like basic setting ended.
I have a Mk7 Golf R on coilovers that is lowered quite a bit, this is what is causing the suspension issue as when I hit a bump, the sensors will go outside of their acceptable parameters.

pandamk7r:Hi. I'm guessing the problem in your case - but a precondition for calibrating the DCC system is to jack-up the car (or place the car on a lift) so that all of the wheels are sagging fully off of the ground. Did you do this before invoking the OBD11 procedure? Don

dv52 (Australia)Yes I did, I had the car completely off of the ground in all four corners, and suspension at full sag.

hmm......... OK - lets confirm stuff!
Because you have posted in this part of the forum - I assume that this car is a MK7. What are the actual details of this car and what country is this?
Maybe confirm that the security code is correctly entered - do this: - Navigate to Module 14- Adaptive Suspension
- Select Security code option and enter 20103
- Select Live Data option for the same module
- Enter "security" into search box and select Security Access: Number of invalid keys.
- If the security code was correctly entered, the displayed number will be zero
- If the number is greater than 2/3 - the module has locked-out and will not accept any new entries (even if the correct code is entered) for a period of time. The count-down time for this lock-out period is measured with ignition-ON. The displayed number for the channel above will return to zero when the lock-out time has lapsed (it can be up to 20 minutes in my experience)

There are 0 incorrect code entries in the live data.

Oh sorry, I had the car listed in the initial post.
It's a 2016 USDM Golf R.

OK- thanks. So, this car is a MY16 Golf - NAR model! Of course, this procedure will only activate if there are NO other errors in the Adaptive Suspension module (check the module) Below is a copy of the instructions from your first post
- With car lifted off the ground -Enter Control Module 14- Adaptive Suspension
- Go to Adaptations
- Select “Adapting with deflected wheels”
- Take note of the values, as they should change later.
Slide the green arrow to the right to writeEnter security code 20103. It should say success. (It doesn’t)- Enter Basic Settings
- Select “Adapting with deflected wheels”
- Slide to Start. It should run for a second and then say something like basic setting ended.
I've crossed-out steps 5 & 6 because it's not clear to me why they are needed - I suspect that these steps are the reason for the 2nd security code request.
Normally the "green arrow" is activated when an adaptation channel value is changed. Sliding the "green arrow" to the right results is a request that OBD11 sends to the module to write a new value into the car's database. Often a security code is required to "open-up" the module before this write-process can happen.
However, in this case the ONLY reason for accessing the adaptation channel Adapting with deflected wheels is to note the values - meaning that you are not actually manually changing the setting in the channel. So, there is NO need to "open the module" via a security code from the Adaptation function and more importantly (I think) - the "write-process" has noting to change because there is no new channel setting in the request!
So, my suggestion is that you omit steps 5 & 6 and try again!

Okay, so I actually was able to figure out the problem.
So I realized if you go into "Live Data" you can select "Deflecting Wheels" and it will show their level of function. All of mine said "Not Possible" which was why they couldn't be programmed.
I unbolted one of them, and as soon as I let it out a little further it changed to possible. This means even at full droop, my suspension was quite "low" enough to allow for new programming.
Simple fix, hopefully, was to unbolt them all, lower them down just until they changed to "Possible", programmed them, the reconnected them.
Crossing my fingers this keeps them within acceptable deflection and allows me to drive without errors.
Will edit if I ended up making things worse.
