Is there a way to have the seat memory on the Mk8 be a single press instead of having to hold it? I’m aware that it does this when the door is open and the engine has not yet started, was wondering if there’s a way to code this such that it always does this regardless of the door being open or the engine running. Thank you.

Hello Daniel:
I am going to guess (an educated guess, based on 20+ years of VW coding) that there is no option available to make seat repositioning one-touch unless it can be confirmed that the vehicle is not being operated (in other words, engine off or door open).
This is simply a safety precaution on VW's part. Consider the risk that would exist if a tall driver was driving and accidently pressed a preset button that caused the seat to move forward to a position suitable for a very short driver. A loss of control due to inability to operate the accelerator, brakes, and steering wheel could result.
