After replacing the battery and replacing the loose plug on the steering rack, I recalibrated the steering but I'm not able to do the initialization process where the steering wheel is supposed to turn by itself? I am now trying to determine if I need to replace my steering rack does anyone know how to test it to see if it is deffective?

hmm........ usually steering rack replacement is determined by the fault codes on the car - post-up a copy of the SCAN so we can see how this car is built and the module health To digitize the SCAN report- do this:
Go to History

I have a new scan in an email but I can't remember how to send it without help again. You can look at the other scans I sent already. The only fault codes I have remaining are B2000 F2 and B200FFO dated 8-23-23 when it was unplugged. Obd11 calls the first code static, but Ross tech calls that code defective. I'm trying to determine if that's a good enough diagnosis to replace the steering rack?

michaelr :The problem here is that you have posted this discussion on multiple threads - so it's difficult to keep track of what's happening!!
Nevertheless - your 2 x remaining error codes are: - B200FF0 - internal malfunction
- B2000F2 - Ctrl. module Faulty
VCDS and OBD11 may describe these fault codes slightly differently - however, whilst anything is possible, they both indicate a problem that can't be solved through coding changes!! Alas, from the SCANs that you posted on the other thread - I suspect that this is a case where the module needs replacing
